Our Mission
The mission of the Fund for Assistance is to support the initiatives of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, whose main purpose and aim is to propagate the Holy Orthodox faith, the moral-spiritual education of youth and the care for Church members, support of clergy, and maintenance of its churches, monasteries, and holy places through financial assistance.
Areas of Funding Focus
The Fund for Assistance has chosen its areas of funding focus based on commissioned research and feedback based on 64 detailed interviews, with a mail based survey of 305 members of our Church These are:
- Youth Programming
- Clergy Support
- Emergency Relief Fund
Proposed impact:
Youth:
- Increase the capability and capacity to strengthen youth programming by engaging more youth around the world
- Ability to create events that bring our global youth together to share and deepen their faith
- Build a global community of spiritually focused youth
- Attract new youth to the Church
- Deepen the spirituality of the youth already connected to the Church
Clergy Support:
- Alleviate some financial burdens of our clergy
- Give Clergy the opportunity to be more available to our members
Emergency Relief:
- Care for those in dire need
