On September 13, the Board of Directors of the Fund for Assistance to the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia held its annual meeting in the church hall of St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Washington.

At the meeting, Board members discussed such topics as the Fund's current state of financial affairs, methods for bringing in financial and material resources for the realization of benevolent projects, an overview of all persons receiving funds, the necessity of carrying out an audit in the interests of maintaining financial transparency, and so on.

As was noted, the ratio between revenue and administrative expenses improved by 30%.
The Board also amended the Fund's mission statement.

The old version reads: "The mission of the Fund for Assistance is to support the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, specifically, the moral-spiritual education of youth, and the support of clergy, abroad and in Russia."

New version: "The mission of the Fund for Assistance is to support the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, specifically, the moral-spiritual education of youth, aid to its clergy and distribution of emergency relief to its missions."
