Orthodox Mission in Bali

Sharing the Gospel in the Heart of Indonesia

On the Indonesian island of Bali, Orthodox Christians are a tiny minority.

Surrounded by a culture that is overwhelmingly Hindu, with a significant Muslim population as well, the faithful of the Orthodox mission live each day as witnesses to Christ. It isn't always easy—but by God's grace, the Church is growing.

Led by Fr. Aleksander Kobesi, the mission welcomes seekers who have never before encountered the Orthodox Faith. Through patient teaching, loving hospitality, and the beauty of the Divine Liturgy, lives are being transformed as men and women discover the fullness of the Christian faith.

Every New Believer Is a Miracle

For someone in Bali, becoming Orthodox often requires tremendous courage.

Many converts leave behind familiar beliefs and traditions to follow Christ. They need a parish family, faithful clergy, and a community that will walk beside them as they begin a new life in the Church.

That's where you come in.

Your generosity helps provide the resources this growing mission needs to welcome new believers, teach the Orthodox Faith, celebrate the Divine Services, and continue reaching those who are searching for the truth.

Every gift helps ensure that when someone in Bali begins asking life's deepest questions, there is an Orthodox priest ready to answer them—and a church with open doors ready to receive them.

Together, we're helping the light of Orthodoxy shine in one of the most unexpected corners of the world.
